Face Painters in Toronto and the GTA are actually quite easy to come across (there are a ton of us lol), it's just a matter of finding the right fit for you and your guests.
When booking a Face Painter for your party or event, it’s important to have an idea of:
-
How many children you are expecting
-
The length of time needed to get everyone's face painted (we have 3-4 minute, 5-7 minute and 8-10 minute options)
-
Other activities you have planned (eg. face painting doesn't mix well with pool/swimming parties)
-
Your budget!
Why book a Face Painter:
-
Kids LOVE it
-
Looks great in photos
-
Kids LOVE it... lol
Keep in mind:
-
Face Painting is time consuming (we recommend having other activities available for the children check out our blog posts HERE with some suggestions)
-
Children under age 4 sometimes struggle to sit still (many prefer a tattoo on the hand instead, which is a great introduction to face painting.. baby steps, right?)
-
If children are sweating, Face Paint can smudge (we recommend doing any active games or swimming BEFORE face painting begins)
Remember, you can mix and match Face Painting with Glitter Tattoos at no added cost.
COST per staff:
1 Hour, $180
1.5 Hour, $220
2 Hours, $250
$55/hr additionally

Q: What set up does the face painter need?
A: Your face painter will require a table and two chairs. Ideal table size should be minimum 4' x 2'
Q: How do you manage lineups?
A: For private events, we are not fans of lineups at all, lol. We keep a sign up list and call guests up one at a time (that way they don't have to waste their time waiting in line and can enjoy the party without worrying about missing their turn). One week prior to your event, we will ask for a list of names OR you can give us the list upon arrival
Q: How long does each design take?
A: We have a variety of options, smaller designs take 3-4 minutes, medium are 5-7 minutes each, and full face take 8-10 minutes
Q: What type of face paints do you use?
A: We use “Global” and “TAG” brand paints, which are non-toxic, water-based face and body paints. They’re washable with just water and dry to the touch within 5 minutes
Q: My child has sensitive skin, but still wants to get their face painted, what do you recommend?
A: We can do a test patch at the very beginning of the party to see if there’s any irritation, otherwise it’s best to do the painting on the arm/hand
Q: Does the Face Paint rub off easily?
A: All Face Paints are water-based, once they're dry, they're set. If there's water around (pool or splashpad) or excessive sweating, the paints might run/smudge. We recommend booking services after swimming or intense physical activity/sport as well as cheek designs in the warmer months.
Q: What if some of the guests don’t want to get face painting?
A: We can do a “Tattoo” Style on their hand/arm or children can opt for a Glitter Tattoo instead
Q: Can adults get face painting too?
A: YESSSSSSS!
Q: Do I have to tip the entertainer?
A: Please don't feel obligated to tip your entertainer, we pride ourselves on paying staff VERY fairly. With that being said, if you would like to tip your entertainer, that is completely fine
Q: What do the entertainers wear?
A: Our entertainers wear a black company t shirt with our logo in white, along with activewear bottoms. If you have a more formal event, please let us know in advance so that we can wear all black business casual
Q: My party has a theme, can you do designs that match the theme?
A: We have a set menu, but may be able to accommodate. Please make the request ahead of time and we will let you know
Q: Can I request a preferred gender for my entertainer?
A: For sure! On our booking form, there is a space for this. Most of our staff are women and we are quite limited when it comes to male staff
Q: Do I have to pay a deposit?
A: Yes, a NON-REFUNDABLE $50 deposit is required for events under $250 (before taxes). A 30% NON-REFUNDABLE deposit is required for events over $250.
Q: What payment types do you accept?
A: Cash, e-transfer, EFT, online credit card (through the website) and cheque (corporate events only)
Q: When/how do I pay the entertainer?
A: You can pay your entertainer AFTER the service. Most clients have the payment tucked in a discreet envelope to hand to the entertainer on their way out. Please be sure to double check the counting. If you are paying the balance online, you can complete the payment once the entertainer wraps up
