Late to the Party? Smart Timing Tips

Picture this: Your entertainer arrives right on schedule, but half your guests are still nowhere to be found.
Not ideal!
The last thing we’d want to do is to turn away children because the service time is over.
A Magic Buffer
Depending on the service you book, it might be a good idea to schedule some buffer time to allow for guests to arrive ahead of the entertainment. For services like Face Painting (where we paint one child at a time), there’s less pressure BUT for activities like our Slime Station and Crafts it's best to have everyone begin at the same time.
Start with free play: Let early arrivals settle in naturally with simple activities while others trickle in
Schedule entertainment for the sweet spot: Book your entertainer to start 30-60 minutes after the official party start time
Create anticipation: Use phrases like "Face Painting ends at 2:30!" on your invitations to motivate punctuality
Pre-Entertainment Activities That Work
Keep early arrivals engaged with these faves:
DIY Craft Station: Simple, open-ended activities kids can join anytime
Gaming Corner: Set up a Nintendo Switch or similar gaming station
Colouring Station: Theme-related colouring pages and supplies
Pro Tip: Always communicate the entertainment schedule to parents beforehand. A simple "The last slime rotation starts at 12:30 sharp!" reminder text the day before works wonders!
Making the Most of Your Entertainment Window
Ideally, most guests will be present and ready to dive in when your entertainer arrives. No awkward waiting and no missed moments.
We always do our best to accommodate lateness - sometimes that means being proactive and working with human nature rather than against it!
