back to school period products for Toronto teens - see project outcomes at bottom of page!
This campaign is dedicated to raising awareness on period poverty (even here, in Canada) and providing period supplies for teens in need. Menstrual health is such a huge part of our lives and overall well being, but the cost of period products can be a financial burden and create a barrier to access. The goal is to raise enough funds to sponsor a year's worth of period products for 8 girls in Toronto.
END DATE: August 28, 2024
WHY?!?!
Despite being a developed country, many teens, struggle to afford period products. A study by Diva International found that almost 1 in 7 Canadian girls have either left school early or missed school entirely because they did not have access to the period products they needed. In 2015, Canada eliminated the tax on menstrual products, but the cost still causes these essential items to be out of reach for homeless, low-income, and marginalized people.

FAQs
Q: Are you collecting a monetary donation?
A: Nope, we’ve set up an Amazon Wishlist which allows you to donate directly by purchasing pads
Q: How are the menstruation supplies being distributed?
A: All of the supplies are being sent to one location to be sorted and packaged up nicely. We’re then working with community agencies on the ground to make sure that the packages are given to girls in need
Q: What community agencies are you working with?
A: The Mid Scarborough Hub (SCHC) and Christie Ossington Neighbourhood Centre
Q: How did you choose your brand and community partnerships?
A: Through relationships and proposals. If their goals and actions are aligned with the project and they’re open to being a part of it, we love!
Q: How can I get deeper involved?
A: Email! contact@allthecrazetv.com
Q: When will the packages get to the girls?
A: First week of September, right before back to school
Q: Do I have to purchase the pads through Amazon?
A: No, you don’t. If you’re in Toronto you can drop off your donation to “It’s Ok” Studios at 468 Queen St W, Toronto, ON M5V 2B2 OR Unchained Athletics at 20 Camden St, Toronto, ON M5V 1V1
Q: Is there a specific type/brand of menstrual supplies I should purchase?
A: No, it’s just recommended that we provide “regular”, “super” and “overnight” options
